Sacristans

A Sacristan is a behind the scenes person who is responsible for a variety of duties.  A Sacristan prepares the Church sanctuary and altar for Masses and other Liturgies, cleans liturgical vessels  and utensils, maintains supplies, and keeps the Sacristy organized.

A sacristan also takes care of all the details in preparing the worship space which includes locking and unlocking the Church, setting up, purifying and putting away Eucharistic vessels, ordering supplies and managing the votive candles.  Please call our acting sacristan if you are interested in assisting in this important role.
